Dollar to Naira Black Market Rate – August 8, 2026
The latest figures from the Lagos parallel market show that traders are selling one US dollar for ₦1,430 and buying it for ₦1,415 as of August 8, 2026.
These rates reflect the prevailing black market (Aboki fx) rates, which operate outside the official banking system.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) continues to state that the parallel market is not recognised and urges individuals seeking foreign exchange to conduct transactions through their commercial banks.
While the CBN’s official rates differ, the parallel market remains a key reference for many Nigerians needing foreign currency for trade, travel, or personal use.
