INEC Publishes Credentials of Major 2027 Presidential Candidates
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has made public the personal particulars and academic credentials of candidates vying for the 2027 presidential and National Assembly positions.
Among those listed are President Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, and his running mate, Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The commission also displayed the documents of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential hopeful Peter Obi and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and his running mate Rotimi Amaechi also had their details published.
The publication enables members of the public to examine the submitted personal information, educational qualifications and other credentials of each aspirant.
Details of candidates contesting Senate and House of Representatives seats are likewise available for review at INEC offices across the country.
This exercise forms part of INEC’s preparations for the 2027 general election and is intended to promote transparency in the nomination process.
