A woman left social media users laughing after she shared a funny encounter she saw between a fish seller and a shopper at a local market.
She explained that the lady next to her bargained the fish price down from five thousand naira to one thousand eight hundred naira while talking with the vendor.
The negotiation took a surprising twist when the seller asked the buyer to step closer, pretending to point out a cheaper option.
Fish seller’s prank catches buyer off guard
The eyewitness posted online that the shopper moved forward after the seller said, ‘come closer let me show you the one for 1800.’
Instead of revealing a lower‑priced fish, the seller playfully tapped the woman on the head, leaving everyone nearby amused by the unexpected joke.
She later wrote in her post, ‘Jesus Lagos is not a real place – I went to the market and there was this woman beside me pricing fish, she dropped the price from 5k to 1800, and when the guy told her to come closer to see the 1800 fish, he gave her a knock on the head.’
