The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has advised Nigerian youths to avoid relying on sports betting for financial gain, cautioning that it could jeopardize their future.
During a Sunday service, the cleric urged young people to shun the lure of quick riches through gambling, emphasizing that enduring prosperity stems from diligence, discipline, and patience.
Speaking to the congregation, Oyedepo delivered a fervent warning about the perils of betting, labeling it a diversion from one’s divine purpose.

He declared, “Young people, betting is not the route to financial fortune. Stop squandering your destiny, stop squandering your destiny, stop squandering your destiny. I have never been misled. Stop!”
He also encouraged Nigerian youths not to lose hope when progress seems slow, reminding them that authentic advancement may require time but remains valuable.
Later he added, “Things may move slowly, but they are certain.”
To underscore his message of faithfulness and thankfulness, Oyedepo shared how he blessed the woman who introduced him to Christianity in his teenage years.
