Bwala Accuses TV Host of Bias
Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, has criticised popular Channels TV host Seun Okinbaloye for displaying bias during a recent interview. Bwala claimed the journalist applied a double standard and suddenly behaved like a “massage therapist” rather than a rigorous interviewer.

The interview in question featured Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC). Obi discussed several national issues, particularly criticising policies of the Tinubu-led administration.

Reacting on his 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) handle, Bwala wrote:
Again as predictable, the interviewer with double standards turned up as a massage therapist, no balls, no grit, no creativity, no data, and no click bait, yet the interviewee sounded boring with no substance.

Opposition Labelled Jobless
Bwala also described the opposition as “jobless,” urging them to stop lazily lingering and let Nigerians hear about real developments in their lives.
US Commendation for Tinubu
His remarks came amid reactions to a letter from United States President Donald Trump to President Bola Tinubu. Dated July 6, 2026, the letter praised Tinubu’s decisive leadership in combating terrorism and insecurity, especially attacks on Christian communities.
Bwala on National Priorities
Speaking on the development, Bwala said Nigerians are primarily interested in hearing about progress in the economy, education, and, most importantly, security. He asserted that the administration has made substantial strides in these areas.
Historic US‑Nigeria Collaboration
Bwala further noted that the Trump letter marks the first time in Nigeria’s history that the country’s leadership has secured such strong cooperation with the United States government. He questioned why the media is not giving this achievement the attention it deserves, asking whether it is fair to Nigerians who want to know that the nation’s collaboration with the US is yielding tangible results.
