Nigerian singer Waje has revealed she provided vocals for P-Square’s popular 2007 track “Do Me” but received no payment for her contribution. The disclosure came during her appearance on the HonestBunch Podcast with host Daddy Freeze.
The 45-year-old artist, born Aituaje Iruobe, shared insights about her early career journey. She explained how her voice became featured on one of P-Square’s biggest hits despite never being formally credited.
Waje performed the song’s chorus section but wasn’t listed as an official collaborator. This vocal feature first brought her significant public recognition across Nigeria.
The singer couldn’t participate in the “Do Me” music video production. She lacked a passport when filming occurred, preventing her appearance.
“Do Me” appeared on P-Square’s influential third album “Game Over.” This release established the twin duo as leading African pop artists during the 2000s.
Peter and Paul Okoye separated in 2016 after personal conflicts. They briefly reunited in 2021 before returning to solo music careers.
