Rudeboy Speaks Out on Brotherly Rift
Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, widely known as Rudeboy, has opened up about the ongoing disagreement with his twin brother Peter Okoye, stating that the conflict has moved far beyond their former music group, P-Square.
He said he was deeply hurt by how events unfolded between them, noting that the situation damaged the trust they once shared as brothers.
According to Rudeboy, the matter is not merely about music; it involves family ties and personal issues that have left lasting emotional scars.
The artist explained that he finds it difficult to move past what happened, adding that some experiences can cause permanent pain even when attempts are made to settle differences.
Rudeboy revealed that he has remained silent on many occasions in the past to protect the family’s reputation and avoid further controversy.
Although many fans still wish to see the duo reunite, he believes the public may not fully understand the emotional struggles behind their disagreements.
He stressed that rebuilding their relationship would require more than public calls for peace, as the issue hinges on trust and personal feelings.
At present, Rudeboy says his focus is on his children, personal growth, and his music career, while steering clear of anything that disturbs his peace of mind.
“I don’t think I can forgive my twin brother. What happened is something I never expected from my own blood. The problem is not music. It’s deeper than that. It’s about family, trust and betrayal. I have remained silent on several occasions in the past to protect the family’s image. Some actions leave permanent scars. Peace of mind now takes priority over everything else.”
