Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo Reports Death Threats Amid Plateau Violence
Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo, a prominent leader from Plateau State, alleges that he is receiving death threats following recent attacks, claiming that suspected Fulani herdsmen have sworn to kill another church member after murdering nine of his siblings in a brutal assault.

Speaking in an emotional viral video, the cleric stated he would prefer arrest over living in constant fear while grieving his loved ones.

“Under the Muslim-Muslim ticket they want to finish us. Please, I’m waiting for my arrest. It will be far better for me to be in police custody, army custody or a guard room than to remain outside, weeping each day, mourning, suffering and comforting my people,” he declared.
The reverend said he had recently received a letter, allegedly from armed men, threatening to kill a fellow congregant in the same manner his relatives were slain.
He also noted that local youths have ramped up self‑defence measures and are demanding a stronger security presence in Bakin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
“They told me they will kill my member just as they killed my brother. If anything happens to that member, a mass uprising could erupt across Plateau State. Our restraint does not indicate cowardice; we are simply in pain,” he added.
Dachomo urged security agencies to bolster protection in the region, warning that any fresh assault could spark widespread unrest.
Online reactions have been mixed, with many Nigerians voicing concern over the deteriorating security situation in Plateau State, while others called on authorities to investigate his claims and safeguard affected communities.
He concluded by urging viewers to watch the video below for his full statement.
