Presidency Accuses Atiku and Obi of Hating Nigerians, Says Daniel Bwala
President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has criticised the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Atiku Abubakar, and the Nigerian Democratic Congress figure, Peter Obi, claiming they harbour hatred toward Nigerians. He made the remarks in a post on the platform X (formerly Twitter).
Bwala questioned why the two politicians often say they want to improve the country while their behaviour suggests the opposite. He pointed out that one of them breached airport traffic‑control rules, had his vehicle clamped, and then falsely claimed he was being targeted for harm. The other, he said, is quick to declare that Nigeria is doomed on social media, yet when schoolchildren and their teachers were rescued, he pretended to be cut off from information and showed no empathy or solidarity.
According to Bwala, the duo exploits public misfortunes for political gain while disregarding basic human dignity and freedom. He added, “Desperate people do desperate things,” to explain their actions.
