A woman has ignited online discussion after describing how she managed an encounter with another commuter while attempting to board a three‑wheel taxi, locally called a keke.
She explained that as she approached the vehicle, a female passenger already inside stood up and invited her to go first. She declined, but the situation intensified when the passenger made a cutting comment.
The episode quickly gained traction on the internet after she revealed her unconventional reply, leaving netizens split on whether her conduct was appropriate.
How the Lady Responded
She recounted, “I moved toward the keke and the seated woman stepped down, saying I should board ahead. I told her no, and she retorted, ‘How many be your body sef?’ I got in, instructed the driver to leave, offered to pay for both seats and even added an extra 500 naira instead of the usual 400. He sped off, leaving her behind, and I stuck out my tongue at her (sweet me die).”
Her post indicated that she covered the fare for both seats to ensure the tricycle departed promptly, leaving the other woman stranded.
Social Media Reaction
The narrative has since stirred conversation across platforms, with many users finding the episode amusing while others contended that the disagreement could have been resolved more amicably.
Some commentators applauded her confidence, describing her reaction as gratifying, whereas others considered paying extra to abandon someone an overreaction to a verbal exchange.
