APC Dismisses Peter Obi’s 2027 Life-Threat Claim as Baseless
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected the warning issued by 2027 presidential aspirant Peter Obi that his life could be in danger.
Speaking to The PUNCH, APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru described Obi’s remarks as unfounded and suggested the former Anambra governor might be hallucinating.
“Obi has no relevance. He has been consigned to irrelevance, going by what Nigerians have been saying since that time,” Basiru said. “Maybe Obi needs a psychiatric evaluation to know whether or not he is hallucinating.”
Basiru added that the ruling party remains focused on delivering good governance, strengthening the economy, enhancing security and creating opportunities for all citizens.
He expressed confidence that APC’s track record will speak for itself in the 2027 election, predicting another victory for the party.
