Oyo APC Stands by Original National Assembly Candidate List
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has declared that the list of its candidates for the National Assembly in the forthcoming general elections has not been altered.
Party spokesperson Sadare explained that the names were submitted by the party’s National Working Committee after the May primaries and have already been uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal as required by law.
He added that the nominated aspirants have also filed their INEC nomination forms at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.
Sadare accused certain unsuccessful aspirants of spreading misinformation on social media, attempting to mislead the public about changes to the ticket.
“For the avoidance of doubt, nothing has changed from what was made public last week,” he emphasized.
Senatorial District Candidates
The APC confirmed the following senatorial candidates:
- Senator Yunus Akintunde – Oyo Central
- Aderemi Oseni – Oyo South
- Hannah Ogunesan – Oyo North
House of Representatives Candidates
The party’s House of Representatives nominees for Oyo State are:
- Akeem Adeyemi
- Segun Odebunmi
- Tajudeen Abisodun Kareem
- Akin Alabi
- Olafisoye Akinmoyede
- Folake Olunloyo-Oshinowo
- Tolulope Akande-Shadipe
- Olamijuwon Alao-Akala

The APC warned anyone parading themselves as an unauthorized candidate to stop immediately, stating that there cannot be two contenders for a single ticket and urging all parties to respect the process.
