Kano Governor Orders Appointees to Join APC Ahead of 2027 Elections
Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has directed all political appointees in his administration who are not yet members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to register immediately, as the state gears up for the 2027 general elections.
The directive was announced in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa.
Yusuf emphasized that every official serving under his administration should be a registered APC member and actively contribute to strengthening the party’s structure across Kano State.
He noted that government officials have a dual responsibility: to perform their official duties and to support grassroots party growth.
The governor added that the Kano State Government is fully committed to securing APC victories in the 2027 elections, including the presidential bid of President Bola Tinubu.
Yusuf said his administration aims to win the presidential, governorship, National Assembly, State House of Assembly and local government contests for the APC.
He concluded, “If you are serving in this administration and you have not registered as a member of the APC, you should do so immediately. Every elected and appointed official must actively participate in building and strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 elections.”
