During an Arise Television interview on Thursday, George stressed that Lamido must adhere to party regulations. He highlighted Lamido’s absence from the recent National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting as particularly concerning.
“Lamido understands proper procedures,” George stated. “He’s a founding father of our party yet missed the vital NEC gathering.”
The PDP leader emphasized the NEC’s critical position in party hierarchy. He explained it ranks just below the national convention. Decisions made there require strict compliance.
George noted with disappointment that Lamido sought a chairmanship form on the final submission day. This occurred despite his NEC absence. All other zonal representatives had attended the meeting.
“Lamido isn’t a novice,” George remarked about his longtime associate. “I don’t understand these questionable actions.”
The party stalwart clarified convention organizers seek smooth proceedings. Lamido’s last-minute form demand contradicted this objective. George concluded firmly, “He must respect the rules.”
