A Nigerian woman turned to social media to describe what happened after she was dismissed from her job.
In an X post, the user @miz-iyik said she was let go at 9:03 a.m., although the reasons for the termination remain unclear.
Lady Describes Her Painful Workplace Experience
According to her account, shortly after the dismissal, her replacement entered the office and everyone present began to laugh.
To her astonishment, the person who filled her position was her father, who had been absent for twenty‑two years.
“At 9:18 a.m., everyone started laughing. Not because he was funny. Because he was my father. The same father who vanished twenty‑two years ago. The same father my mother told me was dead,” he added.
Lady’s Reaction Upon Seeing Her Father
Meanwhile, her father walked past her, took a seat at her desk, and announced himself as the company’s new regional director.
She was unable to speak; her hands trembled, leaving coworkers puzzled about her silence.
“He walked straight past me, sat at my desk, and introduced himself as the company’s new regional director. Nobody understood why I couldn’t speak. Nobody understood why my hands were shaking,” she said, recounting the moment.
