Sowore Points to Key Agencies Behind Nigeria’s Corruption
African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has singled out three federal institutions as the main sources of corruption in the country.
He stated that the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation are largely responsible for the corrupt practices that plague Nigeria.
Sowore warned that, if elected president, his administration would deploy artificial intelligence to detect and eliminate wasteful spending, such as duplicate payments to contractors.
According to the activist, AI would render the three agencies obsolete by automatically flagging fraudulent transactions.
He added that his presidency would be built on the fourth industrial revolution, embracing AI, computing power, blockchain technology and decentralised banking, predicting that digital currencies will soon make traditional central banks outdated.
