DJ Cuppy Rules Out Marrying a Nigerian
Billionaire heiress and Nigerian disc jockey Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has declared that she will never marry a Nigerian.
She explained that her stance comes from a past relationship where the man seemed more eager to meet her wealthy father than to build a genuine connection with her.
“I can never marry a Nigerian. It’s impossible,” Cuppy said. “The last guy I dated kept asking when he could meet my dad. I felt like he wasn’t interested in me at all. My father doesn’t even care who I marry; he just wants me to settle down.”
She added that seeing her younger sister Temi Otedola happily married to singer Mr Eazi has reinforced her wish for a peaceful, uncomplicated union.
Over the years, Cuppy has dated men from various walks of life – a model, a footballer, and even a bus driver she met on a dating app.
She revealed that she once paid about £400 (over ₦700,000) to gain access to one of those platforms.
Now, her ideal partner is someone with a regular 9‑to‑5 job, who stays away from social media and prefers a low‑key lifestyle.
Her previous high‑profile romance with British boxer Ryan Taylor ended in a short‑lived engagement in 2022, and she has also been linked in the past to music executive Asa Asika.
