The actor reportedly died on May 11, 2026, following a struggle with metastatic kidney cancer, and was interred in his native Arochukwu, located in Abia State.
Prior to the final rites, a memorial song service was conducted in Lagos on June 10, 2026, after which the burial proceeded in his hometown, with his wife attending to pay her respects.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), the user @Iam_sistabibi shared her viewpoint on the video, referencing the circulating pregnancy speculation.
