Zenith Labour Party Chairman Warns Tinubu Ahead of 2027 Election
The National Chairman of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Dan Nwanyanwu, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) and allies of President Bola Tinubu of plotting to rig the 2027 presidential election.
He vowed that the opposition would vigorously challenge the ruling party and stressed that the outcome is far from predetermined.

“I believe they intend to write the results. We are ready; we will give them the pen and paper to record the votes. We will stay in this country; we are not leaving. This election will be competitive, and it is not over,” Nwanyanwu declared.
His comments come as political activity intensifies ahead of the 2027 general election, with parties forming alliances and mobilising supporters.
Nwanyanwu urged President Tinubu to be wary of overzealous backers whose actions could damage the president’s reputation and erode public support.
He warned that some self‑declared supporters are alienating voters, thereby reducing Tinubu’s chances of re‑election.
“I cannot advise him directly, as I am also a presidential aspirant, but this behaviour is making him increasingly unpopular,” Nwanyanwu added.
Furthermore, he noted that individuals who initially backed Tinubu for his leadership have withdrawn their support due to the company he keeps.
