A man has sounded the alarm after discovering that the material sold to him as granite turned out to be baked clay.
In a video posted online, he demonstrated the substance, asserting that it lacked the characteristics of real granite and appeared misleading.
He examined several samples side by side to highlight differences in texture and quality.
Allegations of Fake Granite
The buyer insisted he had been deceived, noting that the product easily washed off his skin and displayed properties of clay rather than stone.
He exclaimed, “You can see this is hard clay now. See how it washes off my hand. See how it washes off my hand.”
He continued, “You can see how much of this material is embedded in something else. Look, this is not granite; it is clay. Now this appears to be granite, but it is ordinary granite in my hand. This is granite.”
He added, “Observe the way they behave. Look at this—this is not granite at all. This is not granite at all. Look around and you will find plenty. See, see everywhere.”
“Those white pieces you notice are certainly not granite. Confirm the pebbles where they dry. I see this material here, and I do not understand.”
Public Concern Over Building Materials
He warned that many white materials being marketed as granite could actually be processed clay or inferior substitutes.
The clip has ignited online discussion, with netizens questioning the quality control of construction supplies sold in local markets.
