A young woman identified as Obianuju Ritanwa Anaeto has shared her feelings about the conclusion of her marriage, explaining that her former husband allegedly reclaimed the bride price from her relatives.
Her heartfelt Facebook update has garnered widespread attention online, as she looked back on her path from wedlock through separation to the final dissolution of the marriage.
The Path of the Marriage
She explained that she entered into matrimony and had previously posted glimpses of their relationship on the internet.
Nevertheless, the partnership reportedly deteriorated, resulting in a separation that started in May 2023.
She later disclosed that the bride price was formally returned on June 13, 2026, signifying the concluding step in the termination of the marriage.
Personal Feelings
She characterized the ordeal as painful, observing that what she had once imagined would endure forever ultimately ended.

“BRIDE PRICE RETURNED.
Today being 13th June 2026.
My Ex husband collected his Bride price at my father’s.
Separated since May 20, 2023.
