Peter Okoye Urges Fans to Stop Comparing Him to Twin Brother Rudeboy
Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, widely known as Mr P, has pleaded with fans to halt the constant comparisons between him and his twin brother, Paul Okoye, also called Rudeboy.
Speaking on Cool FM, the artist said he wishes to concentrate entirely on his solo music career without being sidetracked by continual side‑by‑side evaluations.
He stressed that every musician follows a distinct path and prefers to be recognised for his personal achievements rather than being measured against his sibling.
Okoye added that there is no justification for placing him alongside his brother or any other entertainer, as he is focused on pursuing his own goals and enjoying the fruits of his labour.
He declared, “Stop comparing me with my brother or anyone else. Enough of the comparisons. I want to do me. There is no one like me. I want to do my thing and chop my money.”
The singer also reflected on how the P‑Square reunion affected his solo trajectory.
He noted that his solo career was gaining strong momentum before the reunion, with his social media following — especially Instagram — growing by thousands each day.
However, the pace of that growth slowed after he reunited with Rudeboy, impacting the progress he had built as a solo act.
