Music executive Don Jazzy recently rejected a Christmas gift request. The plea came from a user on X (formerly Twitter).
A netizen named ‘Itohan’ approached the Mavin Records boss. She urged him to inquire about her Christmas needs. Itohan also promised her request would not be greedy.
Don Jazzy indulged her. He asked Itohan to state her desires. She then requested funds. These were for settling her debts and establishing a foundation.
However, Don Jazzy declined the request. He labeled it an “everlasting expense.”
Itohan initiated the exchange on X. She tweeted, “I wish that @DONJAZZY should just ask me what I need for Christmas. I promise, I won’t be greedy.”
Don Jazzy engaged playfully. He replied, “lol Oya na what do you want? Just cos I like your bio, and I see you engage with my tweets every time. Thanks I appreciate.”
Itohan then revealed her wish. She needed money to clear debts before year-end. More significantly, she wanted to launch her “Mercy Foundation.” This foundation aimed to cover weekly dialysis fees for kidney failure patients. She explained her brother’s death from kidney disease as her motivation.
Her extensive requests surprised Don Jazzy. He responded directly: “Ahhh Sister this your request is giving everlasting expenses on another person’s pocket o. You suppose pity this boy.”
