The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has accused Governor Seyi Makinde. They claim he is responsible for the ongoing challenges within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to Sadare, a prominent figure in the APC, Governor Makinde should focus on the PDP’s internal mission. He advised Makinde to stop blaming President Bola Tinubu for the party’s current predicaments.
“PDP elders and leaders failed to seek internal solutions,” Sadare stated. “They left everything to chance. This allowed individuals like Governor Makinde to take control of the party’s affairs.”
Sadare asserted that Makinde lacks the capacity and experience vital for leading a national political party. “Makinde has become the ultimate nemesis for the PDP,” Sadare claimed. “He has consumed the party.”
The governor is now the sole PDP governor in Southern Nigeria. Only a few others remain in the North. “He cannot rescue the PDP from its current critical state,” Sadare emphasized.
Sadare urged critical questions. Why have so many governors left the PDP under Makinde’s watch? His mission and vision for the party must be scrutinized. President Tinubu, he added, should be left to concentrate on national duties.
