Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has publicly apologized to her colleague, Kemity. She expressed deep regret for missing Kemity’s recent event.

Shokoya shared her pain. This was not the first time she had promised to attend but couldn’t make it. This repeated absence made the situation particularly difficult.

Debbie explained she woke up feeling troubled. Her absence weighed heavily on her mind. She continuously reflected on why it affected her so deeply.

She had eagerly anticipated being present this year. Shokoya even assured herself she would not miss it. Yet, circumstances again prevented her attendance.

The disappointment was immense. This feeling compelled her to offer a public apology. She wanted to address her absence openly.

Debbie also recalled that past absences were due to unexpected situations. This made her feel even more guilty about missing the latest gathering.

Debbie Shokoya’s Heartfelt Message

In her apology, Debbie Shokoya wrote, “I was supposed to be somewhere yesterday. I couldn’t make it due to my mother’s duty. I have felt bad about it since yesterday. I even woke up with a mood swing this morning.”

She continued, “I am searching my heart for the reason behind this feeling. I realized it’s because I couldn’t attend that event. I had planned and sworn to be there this year.”

Addressing Kemity directly, Shokoya added, “I am so sorry for being unable to attend your event again yesterday, @kemity. I feel truly heartbroken about this. I am a fan of your craft. I know you appreciate me too.”

She acknowledged previous missed invitations. “This isn’t the first or second time you’ve invited me. Situations then affected my coming. I swore and planned that this year, I must be there! But, again!”

Debbie reiterated her regret. “Please, I am sorry for not honoring the invitation by attending. It really hurts me. Hence, I am publicly writing this.”

Looking to the future, Shokoya promised her attendance. “Peele Night will grow bigger every year. By God’s grace, I will be there in the coming years. I love you, and you know it @kemity.”

She also praised Kemity’s qualities. “Your craft, your growth, your personality, your loyalty, your focus, your determination, your composure, your resilience—all are outstanding! May your light forever shine! Make the woman no vex.”
