Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has leveled serious accusations against Leke Abejide. Abejide chairs the House of Representatives Committee on Customs and Excise. Melaye claims Abejide is attempting to ignite a leadership crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Melaye firmly stated that Abejide is no longer an ADC member. He described Abejide as a “disgrace” to the party. “There is no faction in ADC,” Melaye asserted. He added, “Leke Abejide is an imbecile; he is not okay.”
Melaye further mocked Abejide’s demeanor. He remarked, “A man who laughs when nothing is funny indicates something is wrong with his medulla oblongata.” The former lawmaker referred to Abejide as a “bleaching member of the House of Reps.” He also claimed Abejide is now “partyless.”
Melaye asserted that Abejide has been completely suspended by the party. He further claimed the ADC’s National Working Committee had expelled him. “He is no longer a member of the ADC,” Melaye declared emphatically.
The former Senator continued his verbal assault. He sharply criticized Abejide’s perceived lack of intellect. Melaye connected this to Abejide’s conduct. He called Abejide a “disgrace to us in Okun land.” Melaye emphasized that Okun people are known for being “intellectually mobile, sagacious, and sophisticated.”
Melaye expressed deep disappointment. He lamented the current state of the National Assembly. It was once graced by figures like Shola Ojo, Duro Meseko, and himself. Now, it hosts “that charlatan.” He starkly described Abejide, saying “the weight of his Agbada is above the weight of his brain.”
“It’s a sorry state,” Melaye concluded. He offered an apology on behalf of Leke Abejide. This apology was extended to the people of Okun land and all Nigerians.
