The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faction led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki has publicly disowned several prominent members. The faction issued a strong caution to the general public. They warned against any interactions with these individuals, who have reportedly been expelled from the party.
A statement released on Thursday confirmed the expulsions. Signed by Turaki, it listed Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose. Nine other individuals were also named. A total of eleven individuals are no longer considered PDP members. They also do not hold any office within the party, following their expulsion.
Public Warning Issued
The statement explicitly warned that any dealings with the listed persons carry significant risks. Such interactions are not authorized by the PDP. The party urges caution to prevent members of the public from engaging with unauthorized representatives.

Details of the Expulsion
The formal disclaimer provided further details. It stated, “This is to inform the general public that the following individuals whose pictures and names appear below are no longer members of the People Democratic Party (PDP), nor hold any office in the Party, having been expelled from the Party at the Year 2025 Elective National Convention held on the 15th – 16th November, 2025 at Ibadan, Oyo State in accordance with the Constitution of our Party (as amended).”
The party reiterated its stance on unauthorized interactions. “Any interactions or representations made by these expelled members are not authorized by our great Party,” the statement read. It concluded with a stern warning: “Therefore, members of the public dealing with these individuals are doing so at their own peril.”
The Turaki-led faction also issued a general caution on Wednesday. It warned the public about impostors. These individuals, it stated, continue to parade themselves as party members. The National Executive Committee reportedly expelled the affected individuals on November 18. This was due to alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct. The expulsion aligns with the amended 2017 PDP Constitution.
