The Rivers State House of Assembly recently passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Lawmakers praised his leadership style. They also commended his contributions to the state’s development.
This vote was adopted during the 37th Legislative Sitting. It followed a motion jointly signed by all 26 lawmakers.
The Assembly highlighted the President’s commitment to inclusive governance. They noted his appointment of many Rivers indigenes to key federal positions.
Hon. Major Jack, the House Leader, led the debate. He praised President Tinubu for maintaining policies. These policies have brought economic benefits to both Rivers State and its local governments.
Jack described the President’s leadership as fatherly. He added that federal projects and strategic appointments are already impacting Rivers communities.
Speaker Martin Chike Amaewhule also spoke. He called President Tinubu a compassionate father of the nation. Amaewhule stated that the President has kept his promises to Rivers people.
He pointed out that 39 Rivers indigenes have received federal appointments. This, he said, shows Tinubu’s confidence in the state’s people.
After discussions, the House fully endorsed the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Lawmakers also agreed to begin grassroots sensitisation. This aims to strengthen public support for Tinubu’s leadership.
Furthermore, the Assembly encouraged President Tinubu to seek a second term. They noted that Rivers State has seen significant gains under his administration.
