The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially ratified the expulsion of several prominent members. This list includes FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose.
The party has already dispatched their certificates of expulsion via courier. PDP National Chairman Kabiru Turaki announced this significant development on Tuesday.
Turaki spoke to newsmen after a National Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Abuja. He confirmed the NWC ratified these expulsions. This action is part of ongoing efforts to “sanitize” the party structure.
The chairman emphasized the PDP’s commitment to enforcing discipline. He noted this move aims to prevent internal sabotage. The party is making these preparations for the 2027 general elections.
List of Expelled PDP Members
Turaki provided a comprehensive list of individuals whose expulsion certificates have been sent. These individuals are no longer recognized as members of the PDP.
- Nyesom Wike (FCT Minister)
- Ayodele Fayose (Former Ekiti State Governor)
- Senator Samuel Anyanwu
- Umaru Bature
- Kamarudeen Ajibade (SAN)
- Abdurahman Muhammad
- Senator Mao Ohuabunwa
- Austin Nwachukwu
- Abraham Amah Nnanna
- George Turna
- Chief Dan Orbih
“They have been expelled. They remain expelled,” Turaki stated unequivocally. “We have now certified their expulsion, and these certificates have been sent to them.”
He further cautioned the public. “Very soon, members of the society will be informed via proper disclaimers,” he said. “Any person who decides to do business with them (in the name of the PDP) does so at his or her own risk.”
In related party matters, Turaki also confirmed that the NWC reviewed several ongoing legal cases. These include challenges against the closure of its offices at Legacy House and Wadata Plaza. He expressed confidence in the party’s legal team to successfully manage these matters.
