Iwobi played a key role in Nigeria’s journey to the AFCON final earlier this year. Despite losing 2-1 to Ivory Coast, he feels the squad has returned stronger. They are more determined than ever to secure the coveted trophy.
Speaking to AySuga Channel, the Fulham midfielder shared his thoughts. “We were really close last AFCON,” Iwobi stated. “The only way we can improve is to win it.”
He added, “We have the players to do it. We believe we can. We just have to prove it.” Iwobi’s strong confidence reflects the growing optimism around the Super Eagles. Many predict they will be strong contenders once the tournament begins in Morocco.
Akor Laments Sevilla Derby Defeat

Akor did not hide his feelings after the match. He described the defeat as “a hard one to take.”
