Fulham head coach, Marco Silva, has given clear instructions to winger Samuel Chukwueze. He stressed the importance of maintaining a strong work ethic. This effort is crucial if Chukwueze hopes to secure a permanent transfer to Craven Cottage.
Chukwueze is currently on loan from Serie A giants AC Milan. Since joining the Whites, he has not yet started a Premier League match. The loan agreement includes an option for Fulham to buy the Nigerian international. This deal is valued at approximately €23 million.
Despite his limited starting opportunities, Chukwueze has already made an impact. He has provided two assists in just five league appearances.
Speaking before Fulham’s London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, Silva acknowledged Chukwueze’s talent. “It’s too early,” Silva stated. “But of course, we all recognise the quality that Chukwueze has.”
Silva further explained the club’s expectations. “We need to see consistency,” he added. This consistency applies to his performance and his daily training efforts. The coach also highlighted the need for Chukwueze to adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League.
Chukwueze’s future at Fulham hinges on meeting these targets. His continued dedication could pave the way for a long-term stay at the club.
