The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expelled Hon. Leke Abejide. Its National Working Committee (NWC) ratified the decision. This followed a recommendation from the Kogi State Executive Committee. Abejide was expelled for multiple acts of indiscipline.
The ADC NWC announced this expulsion. The decision came after its meeting. This meeting took place at the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
The party reiterated its stance against indiscipline. It will not tolerate such acts from its members. ADC aims to build a party. This party will be known for discipline, character, and integrity.
ADC also instructed its state leadership. They must fill all vacant positions. These include roles in ward, local government, and state executives. This process will follow approved transition guidelines. Timelines for upcoming congresses will be announced soon.
Hon. Leke Abejide represents the Yagba Federal Constituency. He is a member of the House of Representatives. Abejide had previously rejected the ADC leadership. This leadership was headed by former Senate President David Mark. This act likely contributed to his expulsion.
