Citizen Highlights Subsequent Attack Location
The X user known as @Theyemiking identified the new target. Bandits attacked Isapa after the Eruku church incident. His viral tweet noted a close proximity. Isapa is just a 20-minute drive from Eruku.

He emphasized the geographical closeness. He also questioned government strategies. He suggested that rewarding bandits for abductions creates a harmful cycle. This practice, he argued, encourages further attacks. He proposed considering mercenaries as an alternative to ransom payments.
The 38 abducted congregants gained their freedom. This occurred on November 23, 2025. President Bola Tinubu confirmed their release. He made this announcement via a post on X.
President Tinubu extended his appreciation. He thanked security forces for their active efforts. Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq acknowledged this development. He credited President Tinubu’s direct involvement. This intervention, he stated, secured the congregants’ release.
