Nigerian singer and hypeman, Oluwafemi Oladapo, popularly known as Slimcase, has openly shared his admiration for Wizkid’s lifestyle.
Slimcase stated that no one in the music industry rivals Wizkid’s extravagant way of life. He highlighted how Wizkid quietly enjoys luxury. The star, according to Slimcase, avoids flaunting it for the cameras.
Slimcase Praises Wizkid’s Discreet Luxury
Quoting Slimcase directly, he remarked, “If I can get just 10 per cent of Wizkid’s enjoyment, I am set for life.” He reiterated, “Wizkid’s lifestyle is the most extravagant in the Nigerian music industry. Absolutely no one comes close.” Slimcase praised Wizkid’s discreet approach to luxury, noting he enjoys it without showing off.
Slimcase on Afrobeats: Too Many Releases?
In a separate development, Slimcase recently voiced his opinions on the current state of Afrobeats music. On his Instagram page, the artist suggested that Nigerian musicians are releasing too many songs and albums.
He believes Nigerian artists are putting undue pressure on themselves. This constant need to frequently release new projects is unhealthy, he added.
Slimcase specifically wrote, “Too many songs, too many albums. You all are putting too much pressure on yourselves here in Nigeria.” He advised artists to “take a chill pill and be like Rihanna. Do other things and return with a fresh vibe.”
The singer argued, “Your sounds are becoming boring because they are released too frequently within a year.” He concluded, “I only owe them one song this year, and that’s it. Only God is new every morning. Everyday, every second, singles and albums are gradually killing Afrobeats. It’s no longer fun.”
