Nollywood actress Queen Nwokoye has clarified why she hasn’t collaborated with fellow star Funke Akindele despite multiple opportunities. The actress revealed scheduling conflicts consistently prevented their partnership.
Nwokoye explained Akindele frequently invited her to join movie projects. However, timing issues always disrupted potential collaborations. Similar scheduling challenges delayed her work with Toyin Abraham for years before their recent project.
“Family remains my top priority in career decisions,” Nwokoye stated. “Toyin Abraham contacted me since 2016. We finally collaborated this year. Funke consistently invites me too, but timing never aligns.”
The actress debuted in Nollywood in 2004. She endured personal tragedy in 2019 when both parents passed away within six months. Nwokoye described managing consecutive burial ceremonies as profoundly challenging.
“I began 2019 with both parents. Within half a year, I became an orphan. Today I choose happiness and forward movement. God remains in control of my journey,” the actress reflected.
Married to businessman Oluchi Uzoma since 2011, Nwokoye balances acting with raising three children. Her career continues with an upcoming role in Toyin Abraham’s directorial debut “Oversabi Aunty”.
