FIFA has officially approved the international switch for midfielder Michel-Ange Balikwisha, Standard Liège goalkeeper Matthieu Epolo, and Anderlecht midfielder Mario Stroeykens. All three players previously represented Belgium at youth levels before utilizing FIFA’s one-time eligibility change provision.

Balikwisha and Epolo featured on the bench during DR Congo’s recent 1-0 victory over Cameroon after receiving clearance on November 11 and 12. Stroeykens missed squad selection for that match as the Congolese federation received his eligibility confirmation just hours before kickoff.
