The African Democratic Congress (ADC) faction led by Nafiu Bala Gombe has issued a seven‑day ultimatum to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, demanding that he stop presenting himself as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The statement also orders Atiku to cease using the ADC’s name, logo and emblem to spread false information, and to issue a public apology to the party’s members and stakeholders within the given period, warning that non‑compliance will trigger legal action.
Furthermore, Gombe called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remove the names of the Senator David Mark‑led National Working Committee from its portal and to recognise only the authentic NWC members, in line with a recent court judgment that invalidated the Mark‑led committee’s decisions.
