A Nigerian man has stirred online discussion after revealing that he allegedly learned his girlfriend was preparing to marry his friend’s younger brother without telling him.
Discovery of the Secret Wedding
He said he had no clue the relationship had ended until a friend informed him that another acquaintance was attending his girlfriend’s wedding.
“No breakup message, nothing. She just vanished one day without a word. It was my friend who told me one of his contacts was going to my girlfriend’s ceremony,” he recalled.
Initially suspecting a case of mistaken identity, he went to the event with his friend to verify the information.
He mentioned that he had been covering her tuition fees and had even asked about marriage plans, but she denied any intention to wed, claiming she would only serve as a bridesmaid.

Upon arriving at the venue, he saw her brothers and relatives. He greeted her and asked, “Babe, how far? What’s happening?” She responded, “Who is your babe?” Before he could react, she summoned the police, who questioned him, arrested him, and placed him in a cell, accusing him of trying to disrupt the wedding.
He added that his friend later secured his release from detention.
