A Nigerian woman took to social media to voice her grief after suspected Fulani herdsmen launched an assault on her village, resulting in the deaths of several residents, among them two of her cousins.
Eyewitness Account
She posted the harrowing account on her Instagram profile, where the user @happiness_agbo1 stated that the raid began at approximately 5:40 a.m., claiming nine fatalities and eight injuries.
Casualties and Injuries
In her own words, she wrote: “I never imagined I would have to compose something so agonizing. Early this morning, around 5:40 a.m., Fulani herdsmen stormed our village and killed nine innocent individuals. Eight others sustained injuries. I lost two of my cousins.”

Family Tragedy
The bereaved woman also disclosed that her aunt sustained gunshot wounds during the onslaught and is presently battling for her life in a medical facility.
She recounted that two of her aunt’s children were slain before her eyes, while a third child survived despite being struck by a bullet.

Lack of Justice
She further lamented that the alleged perpetrators departed the scene without facing any apprehension.
“The most heartbreaking aspect is that those responsible walked away freely. There has been no protection, no intervention, and no justice. The government remains silent. The police have taken no action. The military has not intervened,” she added.
Community Frustration
Expressing her exasperation, she noted that her community continues to endure hardship while those in authority have allegedly failed to act.
Appeal for Peace
She concluded by urging Nigerians to keep her family, her village, and all affected individuals in their prayers, insisting that they are entitled to safety, justice, and enduring peace.
