ADC Leadership Uploads 2027 Candidates to INEC Portal
The faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by National Chairman Nafiu Bala Gombe has successfully uploaded the credentials of its presidential, vice‑presidential and national assembly candidates on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on the development, Gombe said the party under his leadership is committed to fielding credible, competent and people‑centred candidates who will deliver purposeful leadership and promote good governance.
Rival ADC Faction Makes Similar Move
The announcement comes just days after the ADC faction headed by former Senate President David Mark disclosed that it had also uploaded the names of its presidential candidate and other 2027 contenders on the INEC portal ahead of the upcoming election.
Tambuwal Calls for Brave Politicians to Join ADC
Meanwhile, former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal declared that only politicians who are brave enough to serve the people rather than pursue personal interests should join the ADC. He made the remark while welcoming Isa Salihu Kalenjeni, the immediate past chairman of Tangaza Local Government Area, into the party after his resignation from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tambuwal added, “Anyone who believes that what he is doing is for the people and for the sake of God, not for personal gain, should have the courage to leave any political party and join the ADC.”
