Kano Pillars Appoint Daniel Ogunmodede as New Technical Adviser Ahead of 2026/27 NPFL Season
Kano Pillars have officially announced Daniel Ogunmodede as their new technical adviser for the upcoming 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League season. He replaces Mohammed Babaganaru, who guided the team away from relegation danger last campaign.
The club shared the news on its official X account, expressing confidence in Ogunmodede’s ability to drive the Sai Masu Gida toward greater achievements.
Club’s Official Statement
“We are delighted to unveil Mr Daniel Ogunmodede (Ijaball) as our new Technical Adviser at the club’s secretariat, in the presence of Chairman Alhaji Ahmad Musbahu Garo,” the statement read.
“A proven tactician with a winning mentality, Ogunmodede now takes charge of the Sai Masu Gida as we embark on an exciting journey towards success in the 2026/2027 season.”

Pre‑Season Preparations Underway
Pre‑season preparations have already commenced, with training sessions kicking off on Monday.
Farewell to Remo Stars
Prior to joining Kano Pillars, Ogunmodede bid an emotional farewell to Remo Stars, where he enjoyed one of the most successful periods of his coaching career.
