Arsenal Confirm Jakub Kiwior’s Permanent Move to Porto
Arsenal have confirmed that defender Jakub Kiwior has completed a permanent transfer to FC Porto after the Portuguese side exercised the purchase option built into his loan agreement.
Kiwior’s Arsenal Journey
The 26‑year‑old Poland international arrived at the Emirates in January 2023 from Italian club Spezia. Over two and a half years he made 68 appearances, won the 2023 Community Shield and featured prominently in the Champions League quarter‑finals against Real Madrid in 2024/25.
Loan Spell Success at Porto
Last season Kiwior joined Porto on loan, making 42 appearances across all competitions. He was instrumental as Porto clinched the Primeira Liga title, conceding just 18 goals in 26 league matches – their first league crown in four years.

Before England, Kiwior began his professional career with Slovak side FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova, then moved to Zilina, followed by a stint at Spezia. He has earned 45 senior caps for Poland since his debut in 2022, representing the nation at various youth levels.
