A Nigerian woman has ignited online discussion after allegedly being expelled from her marital home by her husband’s sisters following a domestic dispute.
The account was relayed by a market trader, who noted that the woman is a regular customer and is currently seeking guidance on whether she should go back to her husband’s residence.
According to the account, the woman claimed that whenever she and her husband have disagreements, he usually invites his two unmarried elder sisters to mediate.
Sisters Allegedly Took the Brother’s Side
She claimed that the sisters frequently visited their home, hurled insults at her, and openly sided with their brother during arguments.
Approximately three weeks prior, another quarrel erupted between the couple, prompting the sisters to appear once again.
On this occasion, unlike earlier incidents, she chose to defend herself and reportedly retaliated by insulting the sisters.
Woman Said to Have Been Evicted from the Matrimonial Home
The conflict intensified, with the sisters allegedly becoming enraged, gathering her possessions, and ejecting her from the dwelling.
She reportedly departed with her child, seeking refuge at her mother’s house, while her husband remained passive.
Later, the husband reached out, offered an apology, and expressed a wish to mend their relationship.
Husband’s Condition Triggers Public Reaction
Although seeking reconciliation, the husband allegedly stipulated that his wife must first kneel before his sisters and apologize to them before being allowed to return to the marital home.
The woman is now contemplating whether to comply with this demand and return to her husband’s household or remain with her mother.
