Social media personality VeryDarkMan has revealed plans to raise the monthly amount he allocates to help Nigerians acquire vocational skills, following his remarks on opportunities for young people.
He explained that he already provides regular financial assistance to individuals aiming for financial independence.
The decision to increase the fund came after he reacted to statements attributed to the President’s wife concerning small‑scale enterprises.
VeryDarkMan Increases Empowerment Fund
Discussing the initiative, VeryDarkMan said, “I give money to people each month so they can empower themselves, but did you hear what the president’s wife said? She told Nigerians to fry akara, fry corn and sell kuli kuli in 2026. These leaders lack real plans for the youth. At least now you will value my effort.”
He added, “From now on I will raise the fund to ₦1.5 million for six individuals to learn handwork every month. You tell me the skill you want, they will share the money with you. Please, learn a trade – the good plan the government offers you is just akara and kuli kuli.”
Announcement Sparks Online Reactions
The announcement has generated widespread discussion on social media, with many users praising the boost in financial backing for vocational training.
Others focused on his critique of the government’s youth empowerment strategy, prompting broader conversations about job creation and entrepreneurship.
