Nollywood Actress Omeche Oko Hospitalized After Motorbike Accident on Movie Set
Nollywood actress Omeche Oko is currently receiving medical care after a serious motorbike crash that happened while she was filming a movie in Lagos.
She posted a video of the incident on her Instagram on Wednesday, capturing the moment the motorcycle lost control during a scene.
The footage shows Oko riding alongside fellow actor Victory Michael when the bike skidded and slammed into a pole at the location.
The impact left both actors injured; Victory Michael struck his chest against the pole and briefly lost consciousness, while Oko sustained a broken leg.
Crew members and colleagues rushed them to a nearby hospital for treatment, though the name of the facility has not been disclosed.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Oko described it as a narrow escape from death and urged fans to appreciate the risks actors take for their craft.
In her Instagram caption she wrote, “Life is very very fragile. It could have been a different story but God said No. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is thank you God.”
Following the post, many Nollywood stars and producers flooded the comments with messages of support and prayers for her speedy recovery.
