Veteran Music Executive Clive Davis Passes Away at 94
Clive Davis, the iconic American music executive whose career shaped the sound of modern music, has died at the age of 94.
His family confirmed the passing in a statement, noting that Davis had recently been hospitalised in New York due to an upper respiratory infection.
The statement described him as a devoted father and grandfather whose love and guidance remained central to his family’s life.
“To the world, our father was the iconic music legend whose vision, instincts, and relentless pursuit of excellence shaped the soundtrack of countless lives,” the family said.
They added that Davis discovered, mentored and championed some of the greatest artists in modern music history, leaving an indelible mark on culture that will endure for generations.
Despite health challenges, including a diagnosis of Bell’s palsy in 2021, Davis remained active in the industry well into his nineties.
With a career spanning more than six decades, he earned five Grammy Awards and is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern music.
