Maduka Okoye Reinstated at Udinese Following Suspension – Nani Provides Update

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has officially returned to the Udinese squad after completing a two-month suspension related to betting offenses.

Club official Nani confirmed the news and expressed confidence that Okoye’s return would strengthen the team as they prepare for a busy fixture list.

“We welcome Maduka back,” Nani told Messaggero Veneto, as quoted by Tuttoudinese. “His presence strengthens us, but the choices are up to the coach, who has maximum freedom.”

Before moving to Italy, the Nigerian shot-stopper played for Watford in England, where he gained valuable experience in European football.

Although Okoye is back with the squad, Nani stressed that the final say on his return to the starting lineup rests entirely with the manager.

“The choices are up to the coach, who has maximum freedom,” Nani said.

Udinese’s next Serie A fixture is against Cremonese on Monday, October 20, and all eyes will be on whether Okoye features in goal. His return comes at a crucial time, with the club seeking to climb up the league table and regain momentum after a mixed start to the season.
