Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has addressed circulating rumors about her connection to Annie Idibia, the estranged wife of music legend 2Baba. The clarification follows online criticism directed at Jegede after she publicly supported 2Baba’s new partner, Natasha.
Jegede firmly denied having any personal relationship with Idibia. She stated their only interaction occurred during the production of 2Baba’s iconic “African Queen” music video years ago. The actress emphasized they never developed a friendship beyond that professional collaboration.
“Nobody has seen us together apart from the ‘African Queen’ video shoot,” Jegede explained. “We don’t share mutual friends. I don’t have a friendship with Annie.”
The actress expressed confusion about the origin of friendship rumors. She maintained their relationship never extended beyond the video set. Jegede described her minimal involvement: “I simply walked into the studio, performed my part, and left.”
Jegede further clarified they never followed each other on social media. This counters speculation about social media unfollowing. “I don’t understand where the unfollowing narrative originated,” she stated.
