Veteran actor Yul Edochie has urged President Bola Tinubu to address Nigeria’s rising insecurity. He called for firm action. Kidnapping and killings have surged nationwide. This worsening situation is now intolerable. It demands immediate attention.
Edochie Demands Decisive Security Measures
Edochie posted on X (formerly Twitter). He stated the security crisis is a direct affront to the President. Tinubu possesses ample strength and resources. These can end the rampant violence, Edochie asserted. He explicitly wrote: “Dear President Tinubu, you can crush these bandits. You can stop the kidnappers. They kill Nigerians daily. They even post it on social media.”
Edochie continued his message. He called the situation a “slap on your face, Mr. President.” He highlighted public fear. Nigerians dread travel and movement. Innocent lives are lost daily. He advised seeking foreign aid if needed. “Go hard on these criminals,” he urged, “and crush them.”
Public Responds to Edochie’s Call
His post generated varied public reactions. Many Nigerians shared their opinions. Some expressed support for his stance. Others questioned the directness of his message.
Samuel Ozonna suggested: “Yul, cursing Tinubu is the only way to get his attention. Then make peace. Use the Reno template.”
Obyno King questioned: “How can he crush his business partners! What do you expect when a sitting president is a drug lord, his Vp a bokoharam sympathiser, his ministers bokoharam members and his ministers, advisers are all Iswap and bandits? Ndi erieri!”
Orabtorblack sarcastically asked: “I thought you believe Jagaban would fix the country? Are you doubting him? Relax he would fix everything 😁”.
User 2TwentyTwo offered this advice: “Slow your horses, Yul. Tinubu is creating another ambassadorial list. Hopefully, your name will be on it.”
