Veteran actor Yul Edochie has again urged President Bola Tinubu to take firm action. He seeks strong measures against nationwide kidnappings and killings.
The actor declared the escalating insecurity unbearable. It demands immediate resolution from the government.
Edochie Demands Decisive Action on Insecurity
On his official X (formerly Twitter) page, Edochie labeled the nation’s security state “a slap” to the President.
He insisted that President Tinubu possesses the capacity and resources. These are vital to ending the pervasive violence.
Edochie wrote: “Mr. President, you can stop these bandits and kidnappers. They kill Nigerians daily and post it online.
“This is an insult to you, Mr. President. Nigerians fear traveling and moving freely. Innocent lives are lost daily. Seek foreign help if needed. Act firmly against these criminals.”
Public Responds to Edochie’s Statements
His remarks sparked varied reactions online. Many Nigerians shared their diverse views on the issue.
Some users supported his stance. Others, however, questioned the aggressive tone of his message.
Samuel Ozonna suggested, “Yul, cursing Tinubu might get his attention. Then make peace. Use Reno’s method.”
Obyno King questioned: “How can he stop his business partners? What do you expect when the President is a drug lord, his VP a Boko Haram sympathizer, and his ministers and advisors are Isnap and bandits? Ndi erieri!”
Orabtorblack commented: “Did you not believe Jagaban would fix the country? Are you now doubting him? Relax, he will fix everything.”
2TwentyTwo advised: “Slow down, Yul. Tinubu is preparing a new ambassadorial list. Your name might appear there.”
